CyberCX to showcase cyber expertise in Network 10’s Hunted Australia season two

Melbourne, Australia – 17 July, 2023

CyberCX, Australia and New Zealand’s leading provider of cyber security and cloud services, has again been confirmed to partner with the production Hunted Australia and lead the cyber team in the Logie-nominated reality series, set to air on Network Ten in Australia from 17 July.

Hunted is Australia’s real-life game of cat and mouse, with ten teams of Fugitives going on the run from a team of expert Hunters, including cyber security experts from CyberCX. If the Fugitives can evade capture for 21 days, they will win a share of $100,000.

Following CyberCX’s successful participation in the program’s record-breaking first season, cyber experts from CyberCX are once again joining the Hunted HQ team, leveraging their formidable skills to locate and capture the fugitives.

The Hunted Cyber team is once again led by Jason Edelstein in season two. As Executive Director, Security Testing and Assurance at CyberCX, Edelstein heads up one of the largest ethical hacking teams in the Southern Hemisphere and brings over 25 years of cyber security experience to the Hunted HQ team.

Edelstein is joined on the Hunted Cyber team by four of his CyberCX colleagues: digital forensics expert Jay Banerji; ethical hacker Vikki Grouios; and open-source intelligence experts Carter Smith and Steph Jensen.

“We’re thrilled to be back for Hunted season two. Every member of the Cyber team is an expert in their field, we’re passionate about what we do, and we’re laser-focused on capturing every single one of the Fugitives,” said Edelstein.

“Whether they like it or not, everyone has a digital footprint. Our cyber team brings specialists in research, open-source intelligence, ethical hacking and digital forensics – everything we need to trace that footprint and track you down, wherever you are,”

“No doubt the Fugitives will be stepping up their game this season, but we’ve been working on some new tools, tactics and tradecraft of our own, so it’s game on.” added Edelstein.

CyberCX CEO John Paitaridis said, “We’re proud to see our cyber experts returning to Hunted HQ for the second season of Hunted Australia to showcase their exceptional cyber security skills,”

“Our experts help enterprise and government organisations tackle threats from cyber criminals and nation state actors every day of the week. Our cyber team is mission focussed with a strong track record of success, the Fugitives are going to have to play very smart to have any hope of evading them.”

The first season of Hunted aired in Australia in June 2022 and has been nominated for two 2023 Logie Awards, in the categories for Most Popular Reality Program and Most Outstanding Reality Program. The program premiered with a total national audience of 1.25 million and dominated its timeslot with an average of 1.09 million total national viewers, making Hunted the #1 new show of 2022 and the biggest new series on Network 10 since 2019.
