Hack Report 2025

Introduction

In 2024 the global threat landscape continued to deteriorate as cyber criminals and nation states searched relentlessly for new ways to break into systems, lock them up and steal their information. It was against this backdrop that our team performed more than 2,500 engagements for over 800 clients, making 26,000 individual findings.

The CyberCX Hack Report collects and analyses the key trends we have observed from our significant dataset of findings. In line with our mission to secure our communities, our hope is that security practitioners will read this report and better understand where their organisation might have vulnerabilities. As a result, hopefully organisations will be better able to position their limited security resources in line with where CyberCX are finding vulnerabilities and exploiting them.
