CyberCX to showcase cyber expertise in Network 10’s Hunted: The Million Dollar Heist

Melbourne, Australia – 13 August 2024

CyberCX, Australia and New Zealand’s leading provider of cyber security and cloud services, has been confirmed to partner with the production Hunted Australia and lead the cyber team in the groundbreaking reality series, set to air on Network Ten in Australia from 12 August.

Hunted is Australia’s real-life game of cat and mouse, with nine pairs of ordinary Australians – the Fugitives – going on the run from a team of expert Hunters, including cyber security experts from CyberCX. If the Fugitives can evade capture for 20 days, they will win a share of $1,000,000.

Following CyberCX’s successful participation in the program’s previous two seasons, a team of five cyber experts from CyberCX are once again joining the Hunted HQ team, leveraging their formidable skills to locate and capture the fugitives.

This season sees newcomer Leah Pinto join the Hunters and take on the role of Cyber Team Lead. As Cyber Intelligence Lead at CyberCX, Pinto helps businesses and government leverage intelligence to inform decision-making in an increasingly challenging threat landscape. Pinto brings over 13 years’ worth of cyber and criminal intelligence experience across government, NSW Police and the private sector.

Pinto is joined in Hunted HQ by fellow newcomer and experienced ethical hacker Luke Burns. Returning to the Cyber Team for their third series chasing fugitives are digital forensics expert Jay Banerji; open-source intelligence expert Carter Smith; and ethical hacker Vikki Grouios.

“We’re thrilled to be back for Hunted season three. Every member of the Cyber team has been hand-picked for their expertise. We’re mission-focused, highly driven and more determined than ever to capture every single one of the Fugitives,” said Pinto.

“It’s virtually impossible to go off grid without a trace in this digital age. Our cyber team specialises in research, open-source intelligence, ethical hacking and digital forensics – everything we need to track down Fugitives, wherever they may be,”

“With a million dollars at stake, the Fugitives will be more motivated than ever, so we’ve brought fresh talent into the team and will be utilising new tools to level up this season,” she added.

CyberCX CEO John Paitaridis said, “We’re proud to see our cyber specialists returning to Hunted HQ for the third season of Hunted Australia, contributing their exceptional cyber security expertise to what will be action-packed viewing for audiences across Australia,”

“Our experts help enterprise and government organisations tackle threats from cyber criminals and nation state actors on a daily basis. The Fugitives are going to have a hard time outsmarting our team of mission driven and incredibly determined cyber experts.”

“We are very pleased to continue our ongoing partnership with CyberCX for our third series of Hunted. We chose CyberCX due to their stellar reputation within the cyber security space. CyberCX have been an integral part of our Hunter HQ team bringing incredible knowledge and experience in ethical hacking, digital forensics and open-source intelligence as well as bringing with them the state-of-the-art technology and all new AI technology. Their success rate of capturing Fugitives each series proves they are experts in their field,” Natalie Cattach Executive Producer, Hunted added.

The first season of Hunted aired in Australia in July 2022 and was nominated for two 2023 Logie Awards, in the categories for Most Popular Reality Program and Most Outstanding Reality Program. The program premiered with a total national audience of 1.25 million and dominated its timeslot with an average of 1.09 million total national viewers, making Hunted the #1 new show of 2022 and the biggest new series on Network 10 since 2019. Hunted is produced by Endemol Shine Australia (a Banijay Company).
