CyberCX Partners with SXSW Sydney 2025 to Shape Asia-Pacific Innovation and Security

Melbourne, 08 September, 2025

CyberCX, Australia’s leading cyber security and cloud services organisation, has extended its partnership with SXSW Sydney 2025, continuing as an Official Partner to the dynamic five-day gateway to creativity and innovation in the Asia-Pacific, bringing together creators, leaders and innovators from every corner of the globe.

The partnership highlights a vital mission: to protect the innovation and creativity driving the Asia-Pacific’s largest tech and innovation event, while equipping industries with the resilience and confidence to face an evolving cyber threat landscape where the lines between corporate and national security are increasingly blurred.

As a Gold Supporting Partner of SXSW Sydney’s Tech & Innovation tracks, CyberCX will deliver an expert talk, panel and host a two-day CyberCX Lounge, featuring an insightful mix of panels, talks, workshops and a live podcast.

Through this partnership CyberCX will support SXSW Sydney in bolstering its digital defences and deliver industry-leading cyber security solutions for the largest event of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region.

CyberCX CEO John Paitaridis said, “SXSW Sydney has quickly established itself as one of the pre-eminent technology and innovation events across the Asia-Pacific. As the leading cyber security services firm in the region, CyberCX and SXSW Sydney are natural partners and it’s a privilege to provide world-class support for this spectacular event that brings together the brightest minds and innovative ideas from across the globe to shape the future of tech and cyber in our region.

“Across incident response, intelligence, and managed services our experts are on the frontline of a cyber threat landscape that is deteriorating rapidly. We’re excited to bring these insights as we deliver engaging and insightful sessions that explore the latest developments and challenges in cyber security,” continued Paitaridis.

CyberCX’s head of Cyber Intelligence, Katherine Mansted, will demystify cyber intelligence and its increasingly important role for organisations in managing cyber risk, in her intriguing talk Trenchcoat Not Required: the critical role of cyber intelligence in business decision-making.

Hugh Riminton, Network Ten National Affairs Editor, will facilitate a gripping panel discussion on how cyber security challenges are reshaping national security priorities, with CyberCX Global Advisory Board member, former director of the National Security Agency and retired four-star admiral in the U.S. Navy Admiral Mike Rogers, Australia’s National Cyber Security Coordinator, Lieutenant General Michelle McGuinness, and Deputy Secretary Critical Infrastructure and Protective Security, Brendan Dowling.

Admiral Mike Rogers said, “The deteriorating global threat landscape means that cyber criminals and nation states are becoming bolder. SXSW is an important forum that brings together thought leaders from across industry and government to consider how we confront these emerging and evolving cyber challenges.”

The CyberCX Lounge will host a further series of sessions as part of the official SXSW Sydney program, across Monday 13 October and Tuesday 14 October, including:

The SXSW Sydney Conference will feature over 1,000 speakers, 400+ conference sessions, 150+ professional development sessions, and bring together participants from over 40 countries, from 13-19 October 2025. Passes are on sale now at www.sxswsydney.com/.
