Cyber defence a ‘very contested’ environment

CyberCX Executive Director of Cyber Intelligence Katherine Mansted says cyber defence is a “very contested” environment.
Ms Mansted sat with Sky News Australia to discuss how businesses need to remain vigilant against attacks in a continually evolving cyber environment.
“The grim reality is that it is a very contested cyber environment and technology is changing all of the time,” she said.
“So the strategy for example really emphasises the big end of time, so for our critical infrastructure providers, more exercises, more training.
“You don’t get to an elite level without putting in the training hours and the government’s really signalling it will work with critical infrastructure on that.”
