Announcing our Keynote speaker
Ciaran Martin CB
Ciaran founded the UK’s world-leading National Cyber Security Centre as its first CEO. Ciaran holds the position of Professor of Practice at Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government and is one of the leading global cyber security authorities.
Ciaran is also a 23-year veteran of the UK Government, working directly with five Prime Ministers and a variety of senior Ministers from three political parties. He held senior positions at HM Treasury and the Cabinet Office, as well as GCHQ. He was head of the Cabinet Secretary’s Office and led the official negotiations that led to the agreed terms and rules for the Scottish independence referendum.


Just a few of our speakers…
Richard Tomkinson is an Executive Director within the Customer Solutions team at CyberCX. With a strong technical background in infrastructure architecture and cloud/data security, and over 25 years’ experience across a wide range of industries, he now helps lead CyberCX’s secure data management capability. His talk Where is your data? … and where else is it? will explore how automated discovery and classification can improve data governance and privacy control maturity.
Katherine Mansted is the Executive Director of Cyber Intelligence at CyberCX and a Senior Fellow at the Australian National University’s National Security College. Her work has been featured in Foreign Affairs, The Strategist, The Australian and on the ABC, and she has testified before parliamentary committees including the Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security.
Megan Lane is CyberCX’s Director of Communications and Government Relations. An established public policy and crisis communications specialist, Megan’s talk Under pressure: Navigating crisis communications during a cyber incident will draw on firsthand experience dealing with crisis scenarios across government, politics and the private sector.
Fraser Metcalf is a Principal Solution lead for Cyber Defence at CyberCX. He works with customers and CyberCX technical teams to define the architecture for solutions to complex cyber security problems and operationalise them as services. Fraser’s talk, A practical guide to raising your cyber shields will dive into the ways customers can temporarily uplift their organisation’s security when the threat landscape becomes even more hazardous than usual.
